소음은 아름다울 것 없지만 온갖 가지 삶의 단편들이 녹아든 삶의 분비물이자 진짜 모습이라고 할 수 있다.

귀에 익은 음악을 일상에서 추출한 소음들로 재구성하여 사람들의 일상에 녹아들어갈 수 있도록 왕래가 잦고 시선이 잘 닿지 않는 곳에 설치하여 관조적으로 음악이 흐르도록 했다.

재구성된 소음과 실제 여기저기서 들려오는 일상의 소음이 뒤섞여 사람들이 듣지 못하고 지나칠 수도 희미하게 들려오는 멜로디에 한 번쯤 고개를 두리번 거리다 지나칠 수도 있다.

모든 사람들이 다 들어야 한다고도 생각하지 않는다. 그 모든 것을 듣고 이해하는 완벽한 의사소통이란 불가능하다.

하지만 ‘소통’과 ‘소통 안 됨’의 모호한 경계에서 우연적으로 ‘뜻 밖’의 깨달음이 다가왔다면 그것이 진정한 소통이라고 말하고 싶다.

Noise is not beautiful, but can be said to be the secretion of life and the real image of life containing all the fragments of life. I used the noises extracted from everyday life to reconstruct the music we are familiar with, and installed it in a highly visible place frequented by people so that it can blend well with the everyday life of people, and made sure that the music is played meditatively. As the reconstructed noises and the everyday noises we hear coming from here and there are mixed together, people may not hear them, or they may look around hearing the distant melody. I don’t think everyone must hear them. Perfect communication, i.e. hearing and understanding all of them, is impossible. If you encounter ‘unexpected’ enlightenment at the vague boundary between ‘communication’ and ‘lack of communication,’ however, I should say that is true communication.
